Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque
The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque is the state mosque of Selangor, Malaysia. Located in Shah Alam, it is the country's largest mosque and the second largest mosque in Southeast Asia after Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Construction began in 1982 and finished on 11 March 1988. It's also known as the Blue Mosque. It has the largest dome in the world, 51.2 metres (167 feet) in diameter and reaches 106.7 metres (350 feet) above ground level. The four minarets are the 2nd tallest in the world and was listed in the Guinness World Records.
It has the capacity to accommodate 24,000 worshippers at one time and can be seen from some vantage points in Kuala Lumpur.
