3 Days 2 Nights

On the 15th until 17th of Novermber 2013, a trip was organized by our Online Journalism class. This 3D2N trip was held at Taman Negara, Pahang. Several activites were arranged during the the time we were there.

Main activities were sorted on the second day. After breakfast, our journey started with jungle tracking. The first destination was to walk along the track to Bukit Terasek while accompanied by a tour guide in each group. He showed and explained us some of the trees that were available in the forest.

Next, when we reached at the peak of Bukit Terasek, we experienced ourselves walking through the Canopy Walkway. With the height about 45meter from the ground, the journey along almost 280meter had give distinctive experience to each of us.

It was continued with the next activity which was rapid shooting across Sungai Tembeling and stopped by to visit the village of aboriginal descent which is the community of Batek. There, we see ourselves their abilities to ignite the fire without using matches. Not only that, they also demonstrate how to hunt animals using 'sumpit'.

On the third day, we went for speed shooting which take us to one of the waterfall called Lata Berkoh. We were not allowed to swim as it is quite dangerous. Then, we stopped by at the Kelah Sanctuary to swim with the fishes.

Although some activites may be tiring, it was a great and wonderful experince that must not be fogotten. It is a good way for us to 'blend' in nature.

Concern. Explore. Respect.
